How far is Jewar Airport from Ghaziabad?
About 65-75 km from the city centre, and 90 to 100 minutes at the wheel, on our master table, all distances in one table. Ghaziabad is a large district, so the master gives three Ghaziabad rows, and they do not all behave the same way.

Two things to read carefully. The source gives Indirapuram a longer drive than the city centre at the same distance; we print both as published rather than adjust either. And Wave City has no drive time because its source deliberately states distances only: "times are traffic-dependent and unverifiable", in that page's words.
Which roads run from Ghaziabad to the airport?
- NH-9 and the Noida link road, from the city centre. The master table routes Ghaziabad city centre along the NH-9/Delhi-Meerut corridor onto the Noida link road and the Yamuna Expressway.
- The Noida link road, from Indirapuram. Indirapuram's route in the master runs via the Noida link road and the Yamuna Expressway.
- The Eastern Peripheral Expressway, from the NH-24 side. Our Gulshan Empire review (updated 11 September 2026) puts the EPE interchange at Dasna, close to Wave City, and gives the airport route as the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, the EPE and the Yamuna Expressway. A direct cloverleaf interchange between the EPE and the Yamuna Expressway, near Jaganpur-Afzalpur, had not opened when Business Today reported on 2 August 2026, and we found no report of it opening by 2 November 2026. Until it is confirmed open, check a live navigation app for where your route leaves the EPE.
Same district, different answers. "Ghaziabad to Jewar" can mean 60-70 km from Wave City or 65-75 km from the city centre, on different roads. Ask any figure you are given which Ghaziabad it starts from.
Can you reach the airport from Ghaziabad by rapid rail?
Not yet. Ghaziabad has a working Namo Bharat line, but it runs to Delhi and Meerut, not to Jewar.
What runs today. Our Gulshan Empire review (updated 11 September 2026) records the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat as fully operational since February 2026, with Ghaziabad station about 8-10 km from Wave City. That corridor does not serve the airport. Our airport timeline records no metro or rapid-rail link to the terminal, with access primarily road-based (Wikipedia, April 2026).
Buses and cabs. The airport announced bus routes across Uttar Pradesh in its press release of 20 November 2025. We have not confirmed a running Ghaziabad service; ask UPSRTC or the airport before you rely on one. At the opening, Business Today reported on 11 June 2026 that cabs were the only way to reach the airport.
Planned, and only planned
- The Ghaziabad-Jewar RRTS. The Union housing ministry sent the original alignment back, and NCRTC was asked to prepare a revised one. It is at the planning and DPR-revision stage, not approved and not under construction (Metro Rail Today, 15 December 2025, on our airport timeline). A Dasna stop on it is proposed only, per our Gulshan Empire review.
- The EPE to Yamuna Expressway interchange. Reported by Business Today on 2 August 2026 as not yet open; not confirmed open since.
