Route-by-route breakdown — the four everyday drives
Drive 1: EOE → Jewar Airport
This is the single most important drive. From the EOE gate, a right-turn onto the Yamuna Expressway service road followed by the new airport access interchange at Sector 29 drops you directly at the Noida International Airport terminal forecourt. At peak times (flight bunching around 6–8 AM and 7–9 PM), allow an extra 5 minutes. Even then, this is meaningfully faster than the DND-to-IGI commute that 10M+ NCR residents currently do.
Drive 2: EOE → Pari Chowk (Greater Noida CBD)
Pari Chowk is the Greater Noida business-services anchor — schools like DPS, hospitals like Sharda and Yatharth, shopping malls, colleges. The YEW is effectively a 6-lane airstrip between EOE and Pari Chowk; most of the drive is at 90–100 km/h free-flow. Toll at Zero Point (₹140 one-way for a car).
Drive 3: EOE → Noida Sector 18 / Atta Market
This is the default “I’m going into Noida for the weekend” drive. Entire stretch is expressway with only two decision points — the Pari Chowk merge and the Sector 152 roundabout. Peak evening return traffic (6–8 PM Friday) can push this to 75 minutes.
Drive 4: EOE → Aerocity / IGI Airport
Once Jewar is operational, 90% of NCR residents will stop doing this drive. Until then, it’s manageable at off-peak times but a grind in peak. Plan 2 hours if flying during business hours.
“Sector 22D never becomes a through-route to the airport — resident-traffic stays low even as the corridor fills in.”
Metro connectivity — what’s actually confirmed
The Noida Metro Aqua Line Extension to Noida International Airport is approved and being built in phases. Alignment runs from Depot Station (currently the Aqua Line terminus in Greater Noida) south along the Yamuna Expressway corridor, serving YEIDA sectors including 18, 20, 21 (Film City), 22, 25, and terminating at the airport. Station spacing is approximately 2–3 km.
For Sector 22D buyers this means:
- Within walking/e-rickshaw range: the closest proposed station is expected within 2–3 km of EOE.
- Timeline: DPR and tendering active in 2026; airport commercial ops began June 2026, with Phase 1 (Depot → Film City) targeted to follow; airport-end extension phased after.
- Fallback: YEIDA’s e-bus feeder network already runs hourly along the service road; the airport taxi pool has been running since operations began (June 2026).
Expressway access — why Sector 22D is structurally better than “further-in” sectors
A lot of corridor marketing hand-waves that Sector 17, 18, 19 “are also on the Yamuna Expressway.” True, they’re on the expressway — but they’re on the wrong side of the airport entry. Sector 22D is on the southern side of the airport interchange, meaning:
- Airport-bound traffic does not cross your sector — 22D never becomes a through-route to the airport, so resident-traffic stays low.
- Direct service-road access to the terminal without ever merging into expressway main carriageway.
- KGP Expressway (Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal) interchange at Sirsa (~8 km) gives direct access to Faridabad/Haryana without going through Delhi.

Drive time vs Delhi / Gurgaon — the honest comparison
| From | To Jewar Airport | To IGI Airport |
|---|---|---|
| Eldeco EOE, Sector 22D | 12–15 min | 75–95 min |
| Noida Sector 18 | 55–65 min | 45–55 min |
| Gurgaon Cyber City | 1 hr 45 min | 20–30 min |
| Dwarka Sector 10 | 1 hr 35 min | 25–35 min |
| Mayur Vihar, Delhi | 55–65 min | 55–65 min |
Point: for anyone whose default airport will shift to Jewar (east NCR residents, Greater Noida commuters, Agra-corridor travellers), Sector 22D offers a genuinely different drive experience than Delhi-core locations.
